This post explains my recent back issue and now, 5 weeks later, I am a pretty darn happy camper!
My back is better than it has been in 4, count them, 4 years! I had an issue on the weekend driving to and from Saint John ( a 6 hour trip ) despite stopping and walking around every hour or so. I have a spot where it seems to kink sometimes, but I can usually work it out pretty easily. Yay! That acted up both days after the drive, but was gone the next day. Last night I even took the dogs for a half hour walk with no pain whatsoever! I am now cautiously optimistic that this will continue and I will be able to walk further and further! And I will definitely continue to see my chiropractor at least once a month for the rest of my life! And that is why I love my chiropractor!
Whilst we were in Saint John, we went to Reese’s Ice Show where she was a panda in the I Want to Move It Move It part of the program. And the cutest little panda you ever did see!
I also went to the yarn shop and bought this:
It’s the Blue Heron Rayon Metallics that I knit the gorgeous shawl in last year. If you look closely, you can see the gold sparkles! Not really my colours but I thought it would be bright and cheerful for summer! I am thinking another Clapotis, but a thin one this time. Or maybe not. We’ll see.
Progress has been made on the sweater. I am down to my last ball and am not sure if I have enough or not. But as it turns out, I have to go to the city tomorrow for a car appointment. My gear shift is really stiff and hard to move so they will fix that. ( I may also go try out this car I found on Kijiji. Not sure. I’m tempted but not sure yet.) So I should knit on the sweater today and then I’ll know whether I need the extra ball or not. Maybe I’ll just get it and I can always return it if I don’t use it! Ok, now I’m rambling.
I started the Lupine Socks with the Waikiwi yarn on Thursday as I needed car knitting. Here’s where I am with them:
I am totally pleased and love them!
And now I am off to play my turn on Lexulous and then go to lunch with my friend!

Glad your back is better! I have a bad back, too, and the chiropractor works wonders.
The new sparkley yarn is gorgeous, that is a fun, summery looking yarn. The socks look great, I still plan on getting some of that yarn, too. The possum is just too cool, I must have some.
Glad to hear that your back is better . Being in pain certainly sucks the fun out of life .
Those socks in progress are spectacular . I just love the colour ! I'll have to see where i can get my hands on some of taht yarn.
Speaking of which , my hands are healing ,no more burning and itching , the rash is slowly disappearing . The last doc's prescription for prednisone and cortisone cream really are helping . I was so glad he actually took the time to actually look at my hands and listened .
Oh wow! those socks are knitting up beautifully. I definitely see a road trip to Mahone Bay in my near future ....
