Here Comes 2010!!!

and with it, the usual round-up of projects, but this time I have mileage to include as well! I had no idea when I started the mileage meter what total to expect, so this is the base figure for me. All future years will now compare to this one!

So, with no further ado, the totals:

Socks: 22
Clogs/Slippers: 13
Dishcloths: 12
Baby Sweaters: 3
Mitts/gloves: 3
Hats: 3
Shawl: 1
Scarf: 1
Toddler dress: 1
Toddler Vest: 1
Child Sweater: 1

For a grand total of: 61 FOs and 9.45 miles !!!

Ok so I am a total loser, but I have fun doing it!

And just to reinforce that whole loser thing, I couldn’t wait to finish the slippers and pair of socks I already have on the needles. This yarn that I bought in SJ has been sitting on my desk and taunting me for the last few days, so I broke down and caked it up and printed BlueHeronOldGlodoff the pattern and I am about to start the Clapotis scarf! I realize I am a bit late getting on this bandwagon, but when I checked out Ravelry to see what projects people did with this yarn, this one was at the top of the list and looks drop dead gorgeous!

We both went out last night with head colds. I have a sore throat, sore ears and nasal congestion. Bleck! But we had already lost one couple to health issues and so we persevered! We were really glad we went. The meal was delicious and the wine was good and the conversation was stimulating! Does it get much better?

It is snowing out today, January 1, 2010. I hope that is not an omen for the rest of the year. But it does look pretty! My dogs really love the snow. They frolic and lick it and roll around in it! And speaking of dogs, Mr Gunni continues to pee in our yard at night! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It is so nice not to have to make the trip down the driveway, across the street into our neighbour’s field every single solitary night, no matter what the weather! Now we just scoot out and he pees by the barn! Yay!!!!! And it only took a year and 3 months for this breakthrough!

I leave you with a few word pun things that really make me laugh and start your year off with a smile:

Happy New Year! My dogs are loving this snow, too. Not me so much.

That clapotis is going to be gorgeous in that yarn!

Hilarious!

For the record, I still haven't made a Clapolis but I have been gifted one. Mine is made with silk and I adore it.
