So named because he managed to survive the many onslaughts inflicted upon him by our own little Gunni! The Gunster seemed to think that he was his own special toy that I had made just for him. He kept hurling himself at me in an attempt to get at him. Guess who spent the evening in his crate whilst I stuffed and sewed him together? Gunni! Anyway, with no further ado, I present the Spunky Monkey:
Isn't he one of the cutest things you ever did see, even if I say so myself? I am pleased with him and will make another one or two. Having done this one, I know what I like and don't like about him and would make some changes the next time.
Now I am knitting a pair of orange socks for the Sock Knitters Anonymous September Sockdown! in Ravelry. Each month for the next 11 months, you knit socks that meet the criteria for that month. This month happens to be orange or a Cookie A. pattern or a mystery sock. Not having a great deal of luck with the mystery shawl last summer, I am somewhat reluctant to tackle a mystery sock. I realize it is a much smaller project, but I am waiting to see how it turns out. If I like it and the ones that are doing it have great results, I can always knit it then. It won't be a mystery, but then maybe I'll try the next one in a couple of months!
A lovely day here in NS and I am off to watch tennis and knit!

He sure is cute. I'm not one for monkeys, but he is a charmer indeed. Nicely done!
I've never made any knit toys. I think I'll have to start. They'd make a good Christmas present for the nephew. He'll be one in November.
Very cute, I found your blog though the Ravelry Blogger Google Map, fun to see where you are.
Sweet ! A very bright and cheerful monkey ...
I think he's sooo precious! Now I need to make one! Also, can't wait to see the orange socks -- you know you'll have a fan of whatever pattern you knit! That Ornage you showed at KN is fabulous.
The monkey turned out great! Love him!
