This has really been a boring week. I have watched Wimbledon and knit and not much else. I am now working on a pair of socks for Johnny that I am calling Stormy Weather! Mainly because the colours remind me of storm clouds, but partly because I am trying toe up socks for the first time from my Sensational Knitted Socks book and I am having a b____ of a time. I am not used to their layout. They give way too many options. I want a pattern that tells me exactly what to do and I don't have to decide which pattern, which heel, or which toe!
However, thanks to a new friend I met on Ravelry, I am now on my way and almost to the heel flap!
Did I mention how much I love Ravelry!?! There is so much information there and so many people willing to jump in and offer help and praise and so on and so on! I am one of their biggest fans!
John is off today driving his ladies for the VON and I am meeting him for lunch between appointments! He does this every Friday and really enjoys it. Then this afternoon I will watch the men's semis on TV. They are on right now but NBC has an embargo or something and no one can see them till 1 p.m.! So they are showing the Williams sisters semi final games for the umpteenth time. Not that I dislike the girls. I don't. I thinking they are amazing tennis players but seeing the same games over and over these last 2 days has tested my patience. I want Roger. I want Rafa! I want great tennis! OK. The rant is over.
The sun is coming out and I am going to town!

Sorry about the tennis - I haven't been watching much this year I'm afraid, but I miss it.
I hope you and dad had a nice lunch. I think it's cute you call them "his ladies". :-)
There are lots of people over the other end of town, but not my end. I have no idea why we are open Friday nights. I haven't had a customer at all. Thank goodness I only have 20 minutes left.
I really like the socks! The color and pattern go great together. You picked a good name. :)
The socks look great. I have to agree with you about ravelry, it is a great help when you have problems isnt it.
