Boiled Wool Purse

Well I finished the purse last night and sewed it all up.

And then this morning I boiled it in hot warm and a mild detergent. Voila!!

As you can see, the Eros I used in the top black strip shows up before it is boiled, but not so much after it is boiled. I think next time I will use 2 strands instead of one and it should be more noticable. I took it to my lunch group today and one friend loved it and has a birthday next week, so Happy Birthday! Good job I took the pictures before I went to lunch. I also went into Lexa's shop and bought more wool to make some more with. I used all my black scraps for that one and I was so pleased with it I wanted to make some for my bridge friends for Christmas gifts.

Time to go get dinner going.

Bye bye for now.

That is so cute! I can't wait to make one for myself! They will make great gifts. Gotta love quick knits - especially ones that you can use up your scraps!

Gosh, I absolutely love this purse, it's so gorgeous, and that pink stripe in it sure rocks! Fantastic work!

I have a friend with 12 granddaughters. The boiled wool knit purse would be a great project for Christmas. Where would I find a pattern for that cute purse.
