Oh What A Day

The wind is howling and the rain is coming down sideways and we are safely and snugly ensconced in our 130 year old home. I figure if it has withstood that many storms, one more is probably not going to do much. We may lose power from the wind, but that should be all. A lovely day to stay home and knit. I am currently working on my second blue toe up sock and on the Lima sweater for Lauren. I would like to finish the sweater before we go to Ottawa so I can return any extra balls of the yarn. I bought the yarn at Wool-Tyme when we were there in October. And I need to finish the sock to qualify for two of my KALs. So the push is definitely on!

I did take a couple of evenings to knit tiny socks for a friend, who needs about 20 for a shower thingy she is doing. Are these not the cutest things? ♥♥♥

The dog who doesn't pee has had two good days in a row. Peed in the morning, mid afternoon and late evening. I am scared to even think that maybe we have a pattern developing here. Knock on wood and cross your fingers!

Tonight is Quantum of Solace night, so last evening watched Casino Royale. Apparently this follows along where that film left off, so we are pumped and ready to go!

Here is a gratuitous picture of the two dogs after they had there hair cuts. Not a great pic, but it is hard to get both of them to stand still together:

Unfortunately I have some running around to do today in the wind and rain. T has a big head today (his retirement party last night from the fire department) and isn't going to work til tomorrow. I worked all day yesterday, then the party started at six, so I have to go get his groceries today. I'd rather stay in and knit, but I'm sure I'll do that eventually today!

We had that same weather on Saturday , literally poured rain . We went out to see the new Bond movie anyway. It got mixed reviews with our crew , the guys loved it , something to do with all the adrenaline pumping stunts I'm sure . The girls were less enthusiastic . Curious to see what you thought ...
