I am now officially in the Knitting Olympics

Well, I did it! I signed up last evening and lo and behold, when I just checked, there I am.....all registerd. I am really looking forward to starting my sweater!! We are going to the city for the weekend on Friday afternoon. John is a delegate to the provincial Conservative leadership convention and I have a meeting in the city all day Saturday. I am going to settle into our hotel room and watch the opening ceremonies and start knitting. We are planning to go out to dinner both evenings with friends, so I will get some marvelous food as well. But no knitting done. I don't really expect to finish the sweater, but it will be fun to see how much I do get done!
Today is a busy day. My cleaning lady comes in the morning and off I went bowling. Then out for lunch, up to QASL to sign cheques, home to do some computer stuff and now I must feed the girls as we are off to Bridgewater for dinner and a movie. We are going to see Brokeback Mountain which I expect will be very interesting. We have already seen Munich and hope to see all the best picture nominations before the Oscars.

Bye bye for now.

I saw Brokeback Mountain my first week of joining the Great Unwashed club (Jean and I went) and Ian and I saw Munich last weekend. Gotta say, I'll never think of John Wayne in quite the same way again ! Thought Munich was very probably close to the mark, found it quite thought-provoking.
