As Perry Como would say. And I am usually that type of person but today.......
I really hate to whine and complain about the weather, but there really isn't much else to do when you wake up to another cloudy, foggy, rainy, cold, miserable day. Despite the bad weather, even the *&^!j** black flies are out and driving me crazy!
Now that I have that out of the way, I'll continue with more cheerful topics.
My blogoversary party went well and everyone had a good time and it appears that all the prizes went to good homes and will be happy there!
The cake was delicious and the people at the store were completely undone by the word blogoversary,
but they did spell it right!! There was even enough left over for an invalid (who shall remain nameless), to have a piece and a wee piece for John.
Gunni decided that this would be the night to bark and whine all evening. Marti had brought her 2 month old A. along, and so Gun was jealous or put out or something and kept the poor dear little thing awake with his horrid behaviour! So I moved him crate and all into the dining room, which was a little better, but he was definitely showing his bad terrier characteristics that night!
I have been knitting on a lace scarf called Branching Out. It is only about 4 inches wide, but it shows the lovely lace weight yarn off beautifully. The colour is called Plum, but I must say that after knitting the lace with it I would call it lilac. I have been waiting for a sunny day to take a picture of it with a lilac bush, but as noted in the first paragraph......... not going to happen!! But hopefully you can see what I mean in the pictures! The shading is just gorgeous!
Later today we are going to my brother's house for a season ending feed of lobster. He claims the May lobster is much better than the December ones, but I don't know. They both taste pretty darn good to me:
But for now I am off to watch The French Open!! And knit!!

Looks like quite a party!
Happy blogoversary!
Happy Blogiversary! Thanks again for the eats and treats. The Gunster didn't seem to bother A. a bit...she'd used to barking dogs! And on the invalids behalf, thanks again for the cake. Yesterday was donuts and today is giant cupcakes from Lanes so by the time he goes back to work, I'm sure he'll need a new uniform! BTW, those lobsters look HUGE!
